Since 1994, Japanese photographer, film director, and writer Kiyotaka Tsurisaki has become known for prolifically photographing dead bodies. Countless shocking and gruesome images of the dead fill the pages of this book, which is certainly not for the faint of heart. Many of these people met with violent ends, whether by vehicle crash, homicide, or suicide. Tsurisaki also brings the viewer into morgues and forensics labs, where the macabre work of embalming and autopsy is unapologetically documented. He has travelled to Thailand, Colombia, Mexico, Russia, and Palestine, as well as other lawless or war-torn parts of the world, to photograph human corpses. Revised edition of the 2018 publication.
